Llyr Williams

Welsh pianist Llŷr Williams is widely admired for his profound musical intelligence and his expressive interpretations.
He has a particularly longstanding relationship with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales and, as a recitalist, regularly performs in the Wigmore as well as touring the Americas. Schumann’s Kreisleriana was inspired by the light hearted novel of the same name, about a musician, by E T A Hoffmann while Brahms’ set of variations is based on a movement from a suite by Handel. In Brahms’ hands the theme becomes both expansive and heroic.
MOZART -Piano Sonata in F major, K.533/494
SCHUMANN -Kreisleriana Op.16
BRAHMS - Variations and Fugue on a Theme by Handel, Op.24
“Welsh pianist of an infinite range of colours” (The Guardian)
