DANCE BLAST, 3 – 5 PEN-Y-POUND, ABERGAVENNY

This half term Dance Blast will be starting our second Music & Dance Project!
Working with music artist, Beat Technique you will be creating an original piece of music for our youth dance company, MYDC.
There will be performances held on Wednesday 1st & Thursday 2nd April.

SCENIC ARTS

Scenery, Prop, Puppet, Mask and costume making!
For young people aged 12 – 18yrs+ who want to start their career in theatre!

This class is focused on learning how to build and make fantastic things for Theatre, Film and TV. We’ll teach you how to use junk and recyclable materials as a base; willow framework to make creatures; papier mache and EVA foam for puppets, masks and cosplay.

We’ll also look at basic carpentry, scenery building techniques, useful tools and materials that you can use to build up your skills. We’ll help kickstart you on a career in scenic production, design and construction for the performing arts.

Led by professional prop, scenery and puppet makers, Stuart H/ Bawler and Rhianna Yates of Hummadruz, the Black-Light Theatre of Wales. Supported by Creative Futures

5 DAY ACTING WORKSHOP SERIES

For 11 – 17 year old’s who want to take their acting to the next level.

Explore Stanislavski, unleash creativity through Spolin improv, and sharpen your instincts with Meisner techniques — all in a fun, supportive, professional environment.

We will use focused exercises, character development, and ensemble work to create a practical, immersive introduction to three essential drama practitioners.
