Darling Mr London is a farce by Anthony Marriott and Bob Grant about Edward Hawkins, a mild-mannered telephone exchange employee in 1970s London who flirts with women operators across Europe and invents elaborate stories of being a playboy.
The situation escalates when four of these women arrive at his home simultaneously to meet him, leading to chaos as he tries to hide his fictional persona from his wife and in-laws.
