“The Story of Song - Jazz Vocalists Through The Ages”
Black Mountain Jazz and The Borough Theatre are delighted to announce this very special one-off gig, celebrating the breadth and depth of Jazz vocalists through the ages.
Grammy nominated Becki Biggins and Parliamentary Jazz Nominee Marvin Muoneke join forces for the very first time, taking you on a voyage through the lineage of Jazz vocalists - from the heartfelt Blues and hot singers of the 1920’s, through the big band era of the 30s, 40s bebop, the crooners and agile vocalists of the 50s and 60s, and the fusion era of the 70s and beyond. For fans of lyricism, melodic beauty, and refined storytelling.
They are supported by longtime BMJ friend Alex Goodyear (Yetii, Jon Lloyd, John Law, Simon Spillett), who brings his trio to Abergavenny for their debut performance.
