Mae Paula Gardiner yn fwyaf adnabyddus am ei gwaith fel basydd a chyfansoddwraig jazz yng Nghymru. Ond dechreuodd ei gyrfa broffesiynol fel gitarydd a chyfansoddwraig glasurol ar gyfer y theatr. Mae wedi ysgrifennu'n helaeth ar gyfer y theatr, radio a ffilm. Mae Paula yn galw ei hun yn 'Y Basydd Damweiniol\u201d wrth i nifer o gyd-ddigwyddiadau ddod o hyd iddi yn chwarae bas trydan mewn band Affro-Ciwbaidd ac yna bas dwbl i'r Four Bars Inn, Caerdydd, yn darparu rhan o'r adran rhythm ar gyfer llu o artistiaid rhyngwladol gwadd. Yn ystod y Nawdegau a'r Noughties, sefydlodd Paula sawl band, yn cynnwys Pedwarawd Paula Gardiner, 6, Triawd Paula Gardiner, Paula Gardiner 6.0 a'r band mawr anarchaidd a oedd yn gyfansoddwyr jazz yng Nghymru. Mae wedi gweithio'n rhyngwladol, gan fynd \u00e2'i cherddoriaeth ei hun i'r Unol Daleithiau a chyfansoddi\/chynnal prosiect mawr yng Nghymru a De Affrica ar gyfer yr Olympiad Diwylliannol, 2012. Mae Paula ar hyn o bryd yn Bennaeth Jazz yng Ngholeg Brenhinol Cerdd a Drama Cymru, Caerdydd lle sefydlodd a datblygu'r cyrsiau jazz presennol. Mae hi'n aelod gweithgar o Gyngor Jazz Academi Ivors. Mae hi'n mwynhau coginio, garddio, a bod yn fam i'w merch, Ursula, a'r ci defaid, Gwen.<\/p>\n
