Two award-winning and globally recognised rising stars bring their expressive musical storytelling to Abergavenny.
JOEL MUNDAY, Violin JULIAN TREVELYAN, Piano
In 2025 Joel Munday was selected as a Tillett Debut Artist and soon after made his solo debut with the London Mozart Players, performing Mozart’s B flat Violin Concerto. Other recent highlights include recitals in the Stift Festival in the Netherlands and performances of Brahms' Double Concerto.
Julian Trevelyan has appeared as a soloist with theBBC National Orchestra of Wales and the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra and teaches in Paris.
Their programme includes Beethoven’s sunny “Spring” sonata, Brahms’ nostalgic G major sonata, inspired by a poem by Klaus Groth and concludes with Bartok’s vivacious Hungarian Rhapsody.
